Primarily to start a full DS inspired region, but for the (very likely) possibility of me never finishing a huge project like that, I thought I could at least release the implemented features. 🛑Features: ➡️Souls-like Leveling System: All EXP is converted directly into money. You must then spend this money at a Pokémon Center nurse to manually level up your Pokémon. ➡️Trainer Respawn: Healing at a PC or fainting in battle will reset all previously defeated trainers, allowing you to battle them again for experience and money. ➡️Death & Recovery Mechanic: When defeated, you lose all your money. It can be recovered by defeating the same trainer who beat you, or by picking up a spawned item at the location where you lost to a wild Pokémon. ➡️Potion Flask (Estus Flask): You start with a "Potion Flask" key item that has three charges. Each charge can be used to fully heal your entire party, and charges are replenished by healing at a PC. ➡️Running from the Start: The ability to run is available by default from the beginning of the game. And while the Stories franchise was certainly a bandaid on some people's longings, it wasn't quite what they asked for - even if they loved it. Last year, I set out to finally make my wish, and that of so many other people, come true. I never drew actual art before. I never worked on a Romhack before, nor did I have much knowledge on balance at all. 🛑Features: ➡️Monster Hunter Roster: All Pokémon have been replaced with over 100 monsters from the Monster Hunter series. ➡️Custom Sprites: Each monster has a custom front sprite, shiny sprite, and team icon. (Note: Custom backsprites are not included). ➡️Physical/Special Split: The modern combat mechanic that separates physical and special moves has been implemented. ➡️Hard Level Caps: The game enforces level caps, preventing you from over-leveling for major battles. ➡️New & Updated Moves: The game includes several moves from Generations 4 and beyond, brand new custom moves, and updates to existing moves to reflect their modern power levels. ➡️Themed Items: Many items have been renamed and given new icons to fit the Monster Hunter universe. ➡️Custom Evolution System: Five new "Evolution Stones" have been added to upgrade fully mature monsters into stronger versions. These are sold at the PokéMart at different points in the game. Standard level-up evolutions are also still present. ➡️Minor Type Chart Changes: Two unspecified types have gained a new resistance.
