You play as Geoffrey, a devoted father living in the peaceful village of Evergreen Hollow. After a fateful encounter between your Castform and a furious mother Ursaring, you're enlisted by two of the village's scientists to test the capabilities of a revolutionary new invention of theirs : the ChronoBarometer. But the deeper you investigate, the clearer it becomes that Evergreen Hollow and its surroundings aren't as tranquil as they first seem.
