This passion-driven project elevates these incredible games into what I envision as my perfect Pokémon adventure. This isn’t about simply adding every new quality-of-life feature from later games, or making all 493 Pokémon available. Rainbow Gold focuses on a curated blend of edits, ranging from subtle refinements to substantial new additions, all designed to embody my “dream Pokémon game” and my ultimate vision for these Johto remakes. I’ve come to realize that many Trainers share my deep affection for HeartGold and SoulSilver, and might truly appreciate the unique vision I’ve brought to these games. While Pokémon Rainbow Gold was crafted primarily for my own enjoyment, by choosing to release it publicly, I’m genuinely excited to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas.
🛑Features:
➡️493 Catchable Pokémon & Revamped Encounters: All Pokémon from Generations 1-4 are obtainable without trading. Wild encounters have been updated to allow for greater variety much earlier in your adventure.
➡️All Legendary & Mythical Events Restored: Experience the fully scripted events to encounter every legendary and mythical Pokémon, including Arceus, Celebi (with GS Ball), Mew, the Creation Trio, and many more.
➡️Enhanced Trainer Battles & Fixed Level Curve: All major trainers, from Gym Leaders to the Elite Four, have enhanced teams and strategies. The game also features a fixed level curve for a more balanced challenge across both Johto and Kanto.
➡️New High-Level Trainers: Prepare for new challenges against powerful trainers not originally in the game, including Cynthia, Steven, Dawn, Lucas, and a special time-travel battle against Giovanni.
➡️Modern Gameplay Mechanics: This hack includes infinite TM usage and an increased shiny rate of 1/256 to make hunting more rewarding.
➡️Custom Evolution Methods: Trade evolutions have been removed, replaced by items like the Link Cord. Other Pokémon have new methods, like using stones for Espeon/Umbreon and leveling up in specific locations for Leafeon, Glaceon, and Magnezone.
➡️Major Quality of Life Upgrades: Enjoy crucial updates like an instant IV/EV checker in the Pokémon summary, the ability to forget HMs freely, and receiving the Exp Share at the start of the game.
➡️Restored & Revamped World Content: Explore the revamped Safari Zone (restored to its classic design without waits) and the Japanese-style Goldenrod Casino. Many elements from Pokémon Crystal, including trainers and encounters, have also been restored.
➡️Playable Kris & Wonder Trade: You have the option to play as Kris, the female protagonist from Pokémon Crystal. Additionally, a Wonder Trade system is available at the GTS station for surprise trades.
