PROGRESS: Project Version 69 In-Progress (31/03/2026) - A massive FireRed decompilation project expanding the world to Kanto, Johto, Guyana, and beyond with a heavy focus on lore and music.

A decompilation project of Pokémon FireRed, massively expanded and modified to include content from multiple regions while maintaining compatibility with official Gen 3 titles and GameCube games.

➡️Massive Regional Expansion: Explore Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, the Sevii Islands, a region based on Guyana in South America, and early implementations of Sinnoh and Unova.

➡️Legacy Compatibility: Maintains compatibility with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, and XD: Gale of Darkness.

➡️Expanded Lore: Features an expanded story that treats the Pokémon world as an alternate version of our real world.

➡️Real-Time Clock System: Includes a custom game clock with hours, minutes, seconds, and days of the week visible in the save menu.

➡️Advanced Region Map: A redesigned town map system that loads only the current region to prevent glitches while allowing manual switching between all available regions.

➡️Expanded Pokémon Roster: Includes Pokémon species from Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, as well as Sinnoh species up to Arceus, select Unova species, and Alola forms.

➡️Extensive Music Overhaul: Features hundreds of remixed and remastered tracks, plus a functional Music Player item based on the GB Sounds.

➡️Increased Technical Limits: Raised map icon limits for dungeons and flying from 25 to 100, and expanded map section limits from 252 to 65,533.

➡️Updated Evolution Methods: Allows Eevee to evolve into Espeon or Umbreon using Sun or Moon stones, and removed incense requirements for breeding.

➡️Enhanced Move Reminder: Includes a new Move Reminder on Route 26 that allows you to teach moves without charging mushrooms or money.

➡️Postgame League Rematches: Challenge a revamped Elite Four and Champion Lance with improved teams after the initial victory.

➡️Unique Scripted Events: Features the Legendary Beasts event in Burned Tower, bounty hunter tasks in Cherrygrove Bay, and revised story triggers for the Tri-Pass and Sevii Islands.

➡️Pokedex Shiny Toggle: A new Pokédex feature that allows you to toggle between shiny and regular Pokémon sprites using the Select button.

➡️Quality of Life Improvements: Includes map preview graphics, polished NPC scripts, unique shop items, and a revamped trainer card that displays both Kanto and Johto badges.
