PROGRESS: Project Beta 1.0 (24/06/2026) - The current build is playable up to the third Gym Leader (Lt. Surge), featuring completed encounters and trainers through Cerulean City.
The goal of this hack is to enhance the original Fire Red games by bringing in Pokémon, moves, sprites, mechanics, types, and items that were introduced in later games. Set in a Kanto region where the ecosystem is changing, you must investigate a mysterious "population shift" bringing Pokémon from Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh into the region while uncovering Team Rocket’s dark experiments.
🛑Features:
➡️Pokémon Generations 1-4: are all available to be caught and used throughout the game.
➡️New Abilities: have been updated and expanded to include those up to the 8th Generation.
➡️Expanded Items: includes new items updated up to the 8th Generation.
➡️New Attacks and Animations: features updated moves and attack animations from later games up to the 8th Generation.
➡️New Battle Engine: has been completely updated to match 8th Generation mechanics.
➡️Black and White Repellent System: implemented for a more modern and convenient gameplay experience.
➡️Dexnav: accessible directly in the menu to help track wild Pokémon encounters.
➡️Pop-up Ability: displays Pokémon abilities on-screen during battle.
➡️Physical/Special/Status Split: brings modern battle mechanics to the classic Fire Red engine.
➡️DeCapitalization: removes the all-caps text for a cleaner and more professional look.
➡️Updated Sprites: includes new Pokémon sprites and most Trainer sprites for a fresh visual style.
➡️UI Enhancements: updated battle backgrounds, party menu, summary menu, and a dedicated EV & IV screen.
➡️Increased Difficulty: provides a more challenging experience compared to the vanilla Fire Red games.
➡️Minor Map Edits: maps have been tweaked to feel less empty while remaining recognizable.
➡️Gym Leader Changes: leaders now use Pokémon with varied typing that still fit their specific themes.
