PROGRESS: Project Version 5.7 (Completed) - 18/02/2026 - This is a complete game. The full story of the Orange Islands anime, including all 4 Gyms, the Orange League, and the Movie 2000 event, is finished and playable from start to finish.

It is a complete GBA ROM hack that brings the entire second season of the Pokémon anime to life, allowing you to play as Ash Ketchum himself! Relive the iconic Orange Archipelago saga, where you'll conquer 4 Gyms, face new challenges, and uncover the Movie 2000 event on Shamouti Island. This game is a faithful FireRed base, featuring all Gen 1 Pokémon (plus Marill, Lugia, and Slowking), a Physical/Special Split, and unique QoL like no Pokeball consumption on failed captures. Dive into miniquests, unravel local folklore, and experience nearly all anime episodes in a game designed to feel like a traditional Pokémon battling adventure.

➡️HM Items for Field Moves: Instead of teaching HMs, you use specific items for field moves like Dive, Whirlpool, Rock Smash, and Rock Climb. (Waterfall is solely an attacking move).

➡️New Graphics & Tiles: Features new sprites, new tiles, and new maps to enhance the visual experience.

➡️Pikachu as Starter & Early Ash Pokémon: Start with Pikachu as your partner, and get the opportunity to obtain Ash's other Pokémon early in-game.

➡️Reworked Evolution Methods: Pokémon that previously evolved via trading (Kadabra, Graveler, Haunter, Machoke) now evolve at Level 40.

➡️Rebalanced Pokémon & Movesets: Some Pokémon have altered movesets and abilities, with some Ash's Pokémon having moves based on the anime (e.g., Charizard learning Seismic Toss).

➡️New Events & Miniquests: The game is filled with new events and miniquests based on anime episodes.

➡️Increased Difficulty: Trainer teams are enhanced for a tougher challenge.

➡️Increased Shiny Rate (Valencia Park): Pokémon in Valencia Park appear shiny to match the anime.

➡️No Future Generation Pokémon: The game intentionally does not include Pokémon from other generations beyond Gen 1-2 (excluding Marill, Lugia, Slowking).
