PROGRESS: Version 0.1: Playable only up to Erika — rest of the game is vanilla
It is a challenging, randomized Pokémon ROM hack designed for intense Nuzlocke runs. Featuring Gen 4-era mechanics, streamlined evolutions, no late-gen gimmicks, tougher routes, and a unique “Life Bargain” system, it offers a fresh and unpredictable twist to every playthrough.
🛑Features:
➡️Access to Pokémon from Gen 4 and earlier (including evolutionary relatives like Elekid and Happiny)
➡️No late-gen gimmicks or regional forms
➡️Explosion and Self-Destruct retain their pre-nerf Gen 4 power
➡️Experience gain reverted to Gen 4 mechanics for easier XP management
➡️Slightly adjusted story and overworld layout
➡️More linear story progression with fewer branching paths
➡️Reduced Team Rocket events (only notable admin is Freezai)
➡️Routes contain more mandatory trainers
➡️No stat or ability buffs/nerfs for Pokémon
➡️Hidden Abilities swapped with regular abilities for player accessibility
➡️Opponent Pokémon use only moves learnable in Gen 9 ruleset
➡️All non-branching evolutions changed to level-up (no stones, friendship, etc.)
➡️Evolution levels adjusted for a more interesting progression
➡️Gym Leaders do not use healing items in battle
➡️Gradual learning curve — multiple randomized seeds help players adapt and improve over time
➡️Unique “Life Bargain” mechanic to spice up Nuzlocke gameplay (details to be discovered in-game)
⚠️Current Version Limitations:
➡️Learnsets and evolution levels for all obtainable Pokémon not fully revamped yet
➡️Game may crash if the player wipes in battle
➡️Registering the infinite candy item to SELECT button causes crashes
➡️Some overworld items not yet placed
