PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0 (Completed) - 08/02/2026 - This is a complete game. The full FireRed story, including all 8 Gyms and the Elite Four, is finished and playable from start to finish.

It is a complete and unique FireRed ROM hack designed for players who love a challenge, especially those interested in monotype runs. You play as the child of Hoenn's Gym Leader Norman, arriving in Kanto with a mission to prove that Normal-type Pokémon are anything but weak. The entire Kanto and Sevii Island regions have been transformed, with every wild encounter (excluding fishing/surfing) now a Normal-type Pokémon from Generations 1-3. The game features new starters (Whismur, Porygon, Teddiursa), re-colored white/grey sprites, and significantly enhanced Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and rivals, all using stronger teams and held items. With abundant QoL features to eliminate grinding, this is the definitive Normal-type challenge.

➡️Monotype Normal-Type Encounters: The game's core feature. Every wild Pokémon encounter in Kanto and the Sevii Islands (excluding surfing and fishing) is exclusively a Normal-type Pokémon from Generations 1-3.

➡️New Starters: The traditional Kanto starters are replaced with a unique choice of Normal-type Pokémon: Whismur, Porygon, and Teddiursa.

➡️Enhanced Difficulty: Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, and your rival have been made "slightly harder" than vanilla FireRed, featuring more Pokémon, better movesets, and held items.

➡️Expanded Item Availability: Many good TMs, berries, and type-boosting held items (like Silk Scarf and Mystic Water) can be purchased at the Celadon Department Store.

➡️Legendaries Replaced with Normal Types: Original legendary Pokémon (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres) have been replaced with Normal-type alternatives.

➡️Purchasable Event Tickets: The Aurora Ticket and Mystic Ticket can be purchased from the Pokémon League.

➡️Custom Sprite Aesthetic: Pokémon sprites have been changed to a white/grey color scheme to make it more like you're a "normal trainer."

➡️Original Story Premise: You play as the child of Hoenn's Gym Leader Norman, coming to Kanto to prove the strength of Normal-type Pokémon.

➡️Physical/Special Split: The battle system includes the Physical/Special Split.
