PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0 (Completed) - 12/12/2025 - This is a complete game. The main story and the post-game are all finished and playable from start to finish.

It is a complete Pokémon Ruby ROM hack that creates a brand new adventure with a heavy focus on Bug-type Pokémon! In this unique version of Hoenn, the world has been transformed into a massive forest, wild encounters have been changed to put bugs front and center, and even some non-Bug Pokémon have had their types changed to Bug. To make the journey more challenging, all trainer battles have been randomized, and Gym Leaders now use powerful, mixed teams with a Bug-type focus. The game also features five completely original Fakemon inspired by classic series like Dragon Ball Z, Monster Rancher, and Shinzo. If you've ever wanted to be a master Bug Catcher, this is the perfect game for you.

🛑Features:

➡️Bug-Type Focused Adventure: The game's core feature. The entire experience has been redesigned to put Bug-type Pokémon front and center. This includes a new selection of starter Pokémon and a heavy focus on Bug-type wild encounters, especially in the early game areas.

➡️Randomized Battles & Encounters: All trainer battles have been post-randomized, offering a fresh and unpredictable challenge with every playthrough. Movepools have also been randomized (within their respective types), and wild encounters have been randomized before being manually edited to fit the bug theme.

➡️Five Custom Fakemon: The game includes five brand new, completely original, custom-sprited Fakemon. These new creatures are inspired by classic monster series like Dragon Ball Z, Monster Rancher, and Shinzo.

➡️Re-Typed Pokémon: To better fit the bug-centric theme of the hack, some existing Pokémon have had their original types changed to now include the Bug type.

➡️Forest-Like World Overhaul: The maps and layouts of the Hoenn region have been significantly changed to feel more like a giant forest. The new layouts also include shortcuts to make travel more convenient.

➡️Enhanced & Re-Typed Gym Leaders: The Gym Leaders have been made more difficult. Their teams now have a primary focus on Bug types, but they also use a mix of other types to create a more well-rounded and challenging battle.

➡️Updated Shops & Items: PokéMarts have been changed to sell a variety of useful items that may not have been available before, including a selection of berries, Rare Candies, and different kinds of Pokéballs. Some hidden and map items have also been changed.

➡️Custom Aesthetics: The game features several visual changes to give it a unique identity, including a new title screen color, a new version name, and updated looks (sprites) for many NPCs.

➡️Performance Improvements: Some NPCs and environmental details like flowers have been removed from maps to help reduce potential lag and improve performance.
