PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0 (Completed) - 17/02/2026 - This is a complete game. The full FireRed story, featuring the monotype Bug challenge, new Pokémon typings, and the custom Eeveelution Insecteon, is finished and playable from start to finish.

It is a complete and unique FireRed ROM hack designed for players who love a challenge, especially those interested in monotype Bug runs. You play as the child of Katy (a Bug Gym Leader) and sibling to Aaron (a Bug Elite Four member), arriving in Kanto with a mission to prove the strength of Bug-type Pokémon. The entire Kanto region has been transformed, with every wild encounter now a Bug-type Pokémon from Generations 1-3. The game features new Bug-type Pokémon, a custom Bug Eeveelution (Insecteon), and significantly buffed weaker Bug-types with altered BSTs and typings. With enhanced Gym Leaders, custom trainer sprites, and abundant QoL features, this is the definitive Bug-type challenge.

➡️Monotype Bug-Type Encounters: The game's core feature. Every wild Pokémon encounter (excluding surfing/fishing) in Kanto is exclusively a Bug-type, including buffed and re-typed Bug Pokémon from Generations 1-3.

➡️New Bug-Type Eeveelution (Insecteon): Eevee can now evolve into Insecteon at Level 27, providing a new, custom Bug-type option for your team.

➡️Rebalanced & Buffed Bug Pokémon: Weaker Bug-type Pokémon have been significantly buffed with higher BSTs, more Bug moves, and improved typings to make them more viable.
