PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0 (COMPLETE) - 16/03/2026 - This is a fully released, complete game. The main story is playable from start to finish. The developer has noted that the post-game is intentionally mostly untouched and future updates are unlikely to change the core experience.
It is an experimental and creatively daring Pokémon Emerald decompilation hack built around a singular, restrictive gimmick: every Pokémon is limited to a moveset of only four moves. This project challenges your teambuilding and strategy by evolving these movesets as your Pokémon grow—if a Pokémon evolves, it unlocks an additional four moves. With a curated Pokédex of 200+ Pokémon featuring stunning new resprites, custom redesigns, and Fakemon, this game strips away the complexities of IVs, EVs, and Natures to focus purely on level scaling and raw power. Featuring move-power scaling, a permanent Exp. Share, and unique rewards from Gym Leaders, Emerentals is a "weird" but deeply rewarding journey for players who want to master a brand-new way to play.
🛑Features:
➡️Curated Dex of 200+ Pokémon: Features Pokémon from every generation, with half of them being resprited and including several redesigns/fakemon.
➡️Stat and Ability Changes: Extensive rebalancing of stats, moves, and abilities to make nearly every Pokémon usable until the end of the game.
➡️Limited Moveset: Every Pokémon has access to only 4 moves. If they evolve, they gain access to another 4 moves.
➡️Scaling Move Power: All moves scale with level (e.g., Stufful’s Hammer Arm is 50 BP at level 5 and reaches 100 BP at level 50).
➡️No Stat-Affecting Variables: Natures, EVs, and IVs do not affect stats.
➡️Exp. Share Default: Exp. Share is now the default and is not toggleable.
➡️Configurable Level Caps: Level caps can be configured using an item found in the Player's PC.
➡️Custom Gym Rewards: Gym Leaders no longer give out TMs, but instead provide held items that are usually unavailable in Generation 3.
➡️Revamped In-Game Trades & Quests: The Trick House and in-game trades provide different rewards than the base game.
➡️Key Item Quest Rewards: Cozmo gives the Exp. Charm; the person who gave the Roar TM now gives the Good Rod; the person who gave the Good Rod now gives the Shiny Charm.
➡️Exp. Candy: Lilycove City’s Vitamin Store sells Exp. Candy that raises your Pokémon to the previous level cap.
➡️HM-less Field Usage: HMs do not require a Pokémon to know the move to be used (except Fly, which only requires a Flying-type in the team).
➡️Accessible TMs: TMs are available in the game but are not teachable.
➡️Untouched Post-Game: The post-game content is mostly left in its original state (with the exception of the Steven battle).
