PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0.12 (09/09/2026) - Fully Completed, featuring a streamlined 90-minute competitive nuzlocke draft racing experience.

A revamped version of Pokémon Emerald streamlined for competitive nuzlocke draft racing. Despite playing through the entire Hoenn region with a team of up to nine Pokémon from the first gym to the Elite Four Champion, a single playthrough takes just 90 minutes. It features new quality-of-life improvements and changes geared toward making the game as fast as possible — all of the good with none of the tedium.

🛑Features:

➡️Randomized Gyms: Gyms are randomized; upon entering a gym, you'll be warped to any of Hoenn’s eight gyms at random. Leader teams are adjusted to match your current progress and strength.

➡️Elite... Eight!?: Battle Frontier Brains join the Elite Four for a larger, more diverse lineup of final bosses.

➡️Rental Pokémon: For ¥8000, a shady salesman will allow you to rent a random Pokémon from his powerful collection. You’d better not try to steal it!

➡️Pokémon Catalog: The notebook on the player’s desk comes stocked with every Pokémon in the draft pool. Simply scroll through, select your roster, and get racing immediately.

➡️Portable QoL Tools: The Cleanse Tag functions as a toggleable permanent repel, while a portable PC lets you access your boxes from anywhere outside the Elite Four. You also get a Med Kit key item that serves as an on-the-go Pokémon Center.

➡️Visible IVs & Custom Palettes: Pressing A while viewing a Pokémon's summary screen instantly displays its IVs. You can also pick from ten custom trainer palettes by interacting with your bedroom PC.

➡️Level Cap Candy: Instantly jumps your Pokémon to the level it next learns a move, evolves, or hits the current cap (whichever comes first). The evolution animation is shortened, and move-learning prompts only ask once.

➡️Flygon Bike: Flygon replaces the standard bike, capable of hopping ledges, moving over shallow water, leaping rocks and trees, and Flying at the press of a button.

➡️Streamlined Story & Polite Trainers: All story events—including Team Aqua and Magma, Steven, Wally, and Scott—have been removed entirely. Ordinary trainers no longer jump you on sight and will only battle if spoken to directly.

➡️Nuzlocke Balancing & Stat Cap: Pokémon cannot overlevel the next major boss's ace, and using items in battle is disabled. Positive stat stage boosts are hard-capped at +1, though debuffs can still drop to -6.

➡️Revamped Bosses & Buffed AI: Gym leaders use well-rounded teams bolstered with Alolan, Hisuian, and Galarian Pokémon, and all enemy trainers wield perfect 31-IV rosters. Wallace joins Juan for an 8th gym double battle, leading up to a Champion showdown against Steven Stone and his Mega Metagross.

➡️Fixed Economy & Slateport Market: Non-boss battles award no prize money and selling items is disabled, giving you a strict 62,000 budget for the run. The Slateport outdoor market sells essential evolution stones, power TMs, ability changers, and purchasable berries.

➡️Modern Battle Engine: Features the Physical/Special split, the Fairy type, Gen 6+ TMs, and additions all the way up through Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Mega Stones are also present as one-time consumable items activated by pressing Start before attacking.

➡️Unique Pokémon & Move Tweaks: Several Pokémon gain custom quirks, such as Skiddo and Mareep using Milk Drink once to bypass the level cap, or Castform setting weather based on its first move. Additionally, Last Respects gains 15 BP per run death, Arboliva sets Leech Seed on contact, Corsola revives into Galarian Corsola upon fainting, and Applin's evolution depends on the first gym reached.
