PROGRESS: Project Version 1.0 (Completed) - 21/12/2025 - This is a complete game. The full Johto story and the Kanto post-game are both finished and playable from start to finish.

It is a complete NDS ROM hack that delivers an enhanced, definitive experience of the beloved Johto and Kanto regions. Designed for a casual-yet-engaging playthrough, this hack's main goal is to make all 493 Pokémon from the first four generations obtainable in a single game. The world has been enriched with new story content, new areas to explore, and brand new in-game events to encounter every Mythical and Legendary Pokémon. The game is packed with essential quality-of-life improvements, including infinite-use TMs, forgettable HMs, an IV/EV checker, and the removal of trade evolutions. While the game is more difficult than vanilla HeartGold, it avoids Kaizo-level challenges, instead offering revamped trainer teams that create a fair but engaging journey for all players.

➡️All 493 Pokémon Obtainable: The game's core feature. Every single Pokémon from the first four generations is available to be caught in a single playthrough without the need for trading or external events.

➡️New Story Content & Areas: The game is expanded with brand new, original story content in both the main game and the post-game, as well as new areas to explore for extra and unique content.

➡️New Mythical & Legendary Events: The game includes new, custom in-game events to encounter and capture every Mythical and Legendary Pokémon.

➡️Diverse Wild Encounters: All routes and areas have had their wild encounter tables diversified, allowing for a much greater variety of Pokémon and team compositions throughout the adventure.

➡️No More Trade Evolutions: All evolution methods that required trading have been replaced with new, accessible in-game criteria (e.g., Level 36 for standard trade evos, holding an item and leveling up for item-based trade evos).

➡️New Evolution Methods for Gen 4: Eevee now evolves into Leafeon with a Leaf Stone and Glaceon with a Dawn Stone. Magneton and Nosepass evolve with a Thunder Stone.

➡️Infinite TMs & Forgettable HMs: All TMs in the game have been changed to have infinite uses, and all HMs can be freely forgotten without needing a Move Deleter.

➡️Built-in IV/EV Checker: An IV/EV checker is built directly into the Pokémon summary screen, accessible by pressing the 'R' button.

➡️Free Move Tutors & Relearner: All Move Tutors and the Move Relearner throughout the game are now completely free to use.

➡️Modernized Rare Candy Usage: Rare Candies now function like in Generation 5; using one will not close the bag, allowing for faster leveling.

➡️Instant Friendship Evolutions: Pokémon that evolve via high friendship will now evolve after gaining just one level, once their friendship is maxed out.

➡️Instant Kurt Pokéballs: Kurt will now craft Apricorn Poké Balls instantly, removing the original 24-hour waiting period.

➡️Reusable Repels: The repel system has been updated to be reusable, likely with a prompt to use another.

➡️All Regional Starters Obtainable: A new, custom character has been added to the game who will gift you the starter Pokémon from other regions.

➡️Enhanced Trainer Battles: All trainers have revamped teams. The AI is also designed to adapt and become tougher as you gain access to more resources like Move Tutors.

➡️Streamlined World Progression: Most unnecessary HM obstacles (like Cut trees) and the need for Flash in caves have been removed to improve the flow of the game.

➡️No Overworld Poison Damage: Your Pokémon will no longer take damage from poison while walking in the overworld.

➡️Faster Egg Hatching: The number of steps required to hatch an egg has been significantly reduced.

➡️Maintains Classic Pokémon Identity: The hack intentionally does not include modern mechanics like the Fairy Type, Mega Evolutions, or a Physical/Special Split. Pokémon stats, types, and learnsets are also unchanged to preserve the vanilla Gen 4 feel.
