PROGRESS: Project Version Beta 1.0.1 - 04/03/2026 - This is the first public playable version of an ambitious multi-region project. It currently includes the full Hoenn and Kanto regions with 16 gym badges and two complete storylines. The Johto region is actively in development and planned for the Beta 2.0 update.

It is an ambitious Emerald-based ROM hack that realizes the "ultimate" GBA dream by merging the Hoenn, Kanto, and Sevii Islands regions into one seamless, epic adventure. Developed by the Crossroads Dev Team, this project allows you to play through the full storylines of both Pokémon Emerald and FireRed in any order you choose. With 16 Gym Badges to collect and a massive journey spanning two (and soon three) regions, the game utilizes the powerful pokeemerald-expansion engine to deliver a polished experience. Whether you start your quest in Pallet Town or Littleroot, Pokémon Crossroads offers a gargantuan world where regions are connected authentically, featuring regional-aware travel systems and multi-region minimaps.

➡️Region-Aware Fly System: An updated and intelligent Fly menu that detects your current location and only displays landing points for the region you are currently in.

➡️Multi-Region AreaNav Minimaps: Each region features its own accurate and fully functional minimap within the AreaNav, complete with correct location names.

➡️Authentic Visual Integration: Kanto overworlds have been meticulously ported into the Emerald engine using their original FireRed layouts and palettes for a professional look.

➡️Modern Technical Base: Built on the pokeemerald-expansion engine, allowing for advanced flag handling, event scripting, and modernized battle mechanics.
