It is a modern reimagining of the classic Pokémon Crystal experience, designed to be the definitive way to play the Johto story. This ROM hack preserves the beloved Gen 2 adventure while injecting a massive host of quality-of-life improvements and new content. Discover the brand new Fairy type, a partial physical/special split, and an incredibly boosted shiny rate of 1/1024! All legendary Pokémon are catchable, trade evolutions have been removed, and modern features like a toggleable Exp. Share and HM Items have been seamlessly integrated. With rebalanced Pokémon, tougher Gym Leaders (with rematches!), and the restored Viridian Forest, this is the Johto journey you've always wanted.
🛑Features:
➡️Fairy Type Added: The modern Fairy type has been added to the game as a Special type, with many existing Pokémon updated to include it.
➡️Partial Physical/Special Split: The Ghost type is now always Special, and the Dark type is now always Physical.
➡️New & Reworked Pokémon: Several new Pokémon have been added to the game, and many existing ones have rebalanced base stats, updated typings (e.g., Fire/Ground Ninetales), and improved learnsets.
➡️All Legendaries Obtainable: All legendary Pokémon, including Lugia, Ho-oh, Mew, Mewtwo, the Kanto birds, and Celebi are available to catch before the Elite Four.
➡️Custom Starter Selection: You have the option to choose your starter Pokémon by region.
➡️Viridian Forest Restored: The iconic Viridian Forest from Kanto has been added back into the game.
➡️Enhanced Trainer Battles & Rematches: All Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, and your Rival have reworked, more challenging teams. You can also rematch the Gym Leaders and Elite Four.
➡️Modern Exp. Share: A toggleable, Gen 6-style Exp. Share Key Item has been added to the game.
➡️Dramatically Increased Shiny Rate: The shiny encounter rate is boosted to 1/1024 after your first encounter with Suicune.
➡️No More Trade Evolutions: All Pokémon that required trading to evolve now have new, accessible in-game evolution methods.
➡️HM Items: HMs no longer need to be taught to a Pokémon to be used in the overworld and can be freely forgotten.
➡️Improved UI & Menus: The game features a more informative move menu, a Pokédex that displays shinies, and a stat screen that shows a Pokémon's DVs and Happiness level.
➡️General Quality of Life: Includes an auto-repel prompt, faster healing, fishing while surfing, a Move Relearner, an expanded item bag, and more.
➡️Kurt's Pokéballs Fixed: The Apricorn Pokéballs now work as originally intended.
➡️Odd Egg Update: The Odd Egg now has a 1% chance to hatch a shiny Ditto.
