Set in the Ozzia region, Professor Baoba has retired, leaving the Pokédex and Gym Leader roster outdated. As a young researcher newly arrived to earn your Pokémon Researcher Title, you take on a job to help the new Pokémon Professor update the region's information. However, after a criminal organization steals the Pokémon entrusted to you, you must journey across a new region to get it back, defeat eight new Gym Leaders, and challenge the Pokémon League.
