PROGRESS: Project Version v1.5.3b Completed (19/05/2026) - A comprehensive expansion of 2D Kanto blending Gen 1 roots with modern mechanics, regional forms, and deep competitive rebalancing.

A FireRed-based ROM hack designed to expand 2D Kanto by introducing modern features like Mega Evolution and regional forms, while maintaining its classic Gen 1 roots. The game only includes authentic Gen 1 Pokémon, their evolutions, and their regional variants.

🛑Features:

➡️Gen 1 Focused Dex: Only features authentic Gen 1 Pokémon, their evolutions, and regional forms (except in the post-game Trainer Tower), all of which can be caught in-game.

➡️Physical/Special Split: Fully implemented physical and special attack mechanics.

➡️Rebalanced Pokémon: Weaker Pokémon received stat, movepool, and availability buffs. Level-up learnsets have been reworked to give similar Pokémon unique roles (e.g., Wigglytuff is a physical attacker, Clefable is a special attacker, and Nidorina can breed).

➡️Regional Variants: Alolan and Galarian forms are used by Gym Leaders and can be caught in the Sevii Islands. Specific Pokémon like Cubone and Mime Jr. evolve into their regional forms when evolved in the Sevii Islands.

➡️Expanded Map Areas: Features new locations such as Poliwag Pond in Viridian Forest, a Poison-type warehouse in Viridian City, Mt. Moon Magma Chamber, a deeper Rock Tunnel ice section, Mihara Volcano, and expanded legendary bird encounter areas.

➡️Reworked Trainer Battles: Trainer teams are expanded and updated. Gym Leaders and the Elite Four can be rematched with stronger teams in the post-game, and Victory Road contains custom type-themed teams and Mega Evolutions.

➡️Streamlined Evolutions: Trade-evolution Pokémon now evolve via the Link Stone or by using their specific trade item as an evolution stone. Umbreon, Espeon, and other stone-based evolutions utilize Dusk, Dawn, Shiny, or Ice Stones.

➡️Mega Evolution: The Mega Ring is obtained from Celio after returning the Ruby quest item.

➡️Expanded Celadon Dept. Store: Offers Apricorn/Rare Balls (2F), Ability Patches/Pills (3F), EV-modifying items alongside a free, unlimited random Nature Reroller NPC (4F), and Evolution/Mega Stones (5F).

➡️Ability and Type Adjustments: Custom balance changes such as Snow Warning for Articuno, Drought for Moltres, Drizzle for Zapdos, Dark-type added to Arbok, and Ground-type added to Politoed.

➡️Stat and Level Adjustments: Swapped Attack and Special Attack stats for select species (including the Pidgeot and Golduck lines) and lowered evolution levels for many Pokémon (e.g., Omanyte and Kabuto evolve at level 32).

➡️Improved Catch Rates: Catch rates for legendary Pokémon and Mewtwo have been increased from 3 to 10 to reduce frustration.

➡️Movepool Overhaul: Massive balancing adjustments to base power, accuracy, PP, typing, and secondary effect chances for dozens of moves.

➡️Aesthetic Changes: Features custom shiny palettes for Nidoking and Nidoqueen that swap their respective gender colors.
